The American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) brings together world-wide forensic professionals at all stages of their careers, from government, public, private, and education sectors around the world to exchange information and ideas, learn together, build professional relationships, and cooperate on areas of mutual interest.

AAFS requires a non-exclusive copyright license for all materials delivered at the Annual Scientific Meeting. The final presentation must correspond with the submitted abstract that was reviewed and accepted for the program. Where employer, client, or government authorization is needed, it is the responsibility of the author(s) to obtain that authorization prior to submitting the final materials.

The AAFS Annual Scientific Meeting welcomes non-members, press, and social media coverage. After the Conference, presentation materials will be made available to registered attendees through May 2021 in our presentation portal. Additional selected content will be available for purchase on AAFS Connect. If your presentation will include confidential or privacy-sensitive content, it is the author’s responsibility to obtain all permissions ahead of submitting your recordings for upload.

Proprietary content that cannot be made public to all attendees should not be uploaded. By submitting recorded content, speakers give AAFS permission to distribute the content to all attendees registering for the 2021 Annual Scientific Meeting.

AAFS assumes no responsibility for speakers or consequences resulting from the use of information or content of such information presented, including (but not limited to) errors or omissions, the accuracy or reasonableness of factual or scientific assumptions, studies or conclusions, the defamatory nature of statements, ownership of copyright or other intellectual property rights, and the violation of property, privacy, or personal rights of others. AAFS is not responsible for, and expressly disclaims all liability for, damages of any kind arising out of use, reference to, or reliance on such information.
