The 20th Annual FSF Emerging Forensic Scientist Award paper competition was hosted during the AAFS Annual Meeting in Baltimore, MD. The following presenters were selected as the 2019 winners by a panel of judges:

- Carrie Polston, BA – “Assessing the Impacts of Induction Spatial Effects on Magnetic Flux Measurements of Toners” (J15/Questioned Documents)
- Ellyn A. Zeidman, BS – “Development of a Single-Tube Assay for the Simultaneous Detection of Blood, Semen, and Saliva Utilizing DNA Methylation and ScreenClust® High-Resolution Melt Software” (B44/Criminalistics)
