FSF Announces 2015-16 Lucas Grant Award Recipients!

Each year the Forensic Sciences Foundation (FSF) awards monies in the form of grants to members of the forensic science communities for research conducted throughout the year. The FSF has awarded four 2015-16 FSF Lucas Grants and is pleased to announce the recipients of the research grants for this year.  Congratulations!

The 2015-16 FSF Lucas Grant recipients are:

  • Anastasia M. Brown, BS, $4,750, Sample Collection of Fire Debris from Burned Cadavers for Ignitable Liquid Analysis
  • Gulnaz T. Javan, PhD, $4,950, Postmortem Interval Estimation and Determination of Cause of Death in Criminal Cases Using Thanatomicrobiome
  • Nicole M. Novroski, MS, $5,000, A Novel Intra-Allelic STR Variant Panel for Enhanced DNA Mixture De-Convolution
  • Katie M. Rubin, MS, $4,986, The Adsorption of Toxic Substances into Human Bone Tissue
