The AAFS 2020 Annual Scientific Meeting will take place February 17-22 in Anaheim, CA. We need volunteers to accomplish an array of administrative and gate-keeping tasks before and during the week of the meeting. Volunteers who are not members of the Academy, are Student Affiliates, and are at least 18 years of age are eligible to receive complimentary basic meeting registration to attend all non-ticketed sessions of the meeting with a minimum of eight (8) hours of volunteer service before/during the meeting. If you are offered volunteer service and accept the position(s) offered, you will be registered by our accounting department and will receive an email confirmation at the email you have listed on your volunteer application. This basic registration does not include sessions requiring pre-registration or fees (e.g., workshops, breakfasts, luncheons, special sessions, etc.). To attend any Special Functions you will need to log in to your AAFS Account Portal and click on “Create/Edit My Annual Meeting Registration” to add those functions and apply payment with a debit or credit card.
Although most AAFS membership categories do not receive complimentary registration for volunteering, your service to the Academy is instrumental in making the event a success and is greatly appreciated. Persons accompanying registered attendees are also encouraged to volunteer.
