By the time this month’s newsletter is released, it will be one month before the annual meeting in Las Vegas. The program committee has done an excellent job of reviewing the submissions and this year’s program looks like another home run for our section. The Digital & Multimedia Sciences Section also has a record number of workshops approved for this coming meeting, with three workshops scheduled this year.  You are strongly encouraged to attend at least one of the digital forensics-oriented workshops as well as the National Institute of Standards and Technology/Organization of Scientific Area Committees Digital Evidence (NIST/OSAC DE) information meeting on Monday. It is important that we stay attuned to what is happening with the OSAC, as we fought hard to be represented, and we need to keep that momentum going. We look forward to seeing everyone in Las Vegas and please remember that attendance at the section’s business meeting as well as the general meeting is crucial for your promotion within the section and the Academy.
