If the return of warmer weather was not exciting enough for you, last week the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released its new Interim Public Health Recommendations for fully vaccinated people (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated-guidance.html). For domestic travel in the United States and United States territories:

  • Fully vaccinated travelers do not need to get a SARS-CoV-2 viral test before or after domestic travel, unless testing is required by local, state, or territorial health authorities.
  • Fully vaccinated travelers do not need to self-quarantine following domestic travel.

This is a positive step that makes a live AAFS Annual Scientific Meeting in Seattle, WA, from February 21-26, 2022, much more of a possibility. Please think of papers to present or consider volunteering as a moderator.

Also visit the AAFS website (www.aafs.org) and take a look at the exciting new AAFS logo!

Happy Spring!
