Greetings to all current and potential members of the Psychiatry & Behavioral Science Section of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) from this year’s Program Chairs, Paul Fedoroff and Sebastien Prat. The 70th Annual Scientific Meeting of AAFS will take place in Seattle, WA, February 19-24, 2018, at the Washington State Convention Center. The meeting theme is Science Matters and the deadline for abstract submissions is August 1, 2017.
Sebastien and I hope each of you will consider submitting at least one of your best presentations in the form of a poster, oral presentation, workshop, or panel. All presentations are peer reviewed. From experience, I can assure you that the attendees of the AAFS annual meeting are among the most knowledgeable yet friendly and collegial people you will ever encounter. This is the place to share your data and perspectives in forums where you will be understood and encouraged and where your findings may be translated into meaningful changes in the way we practice. This truly is why science matters! Join your colleagues for what is sure to be a fabulous meeting. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact Sebastian or me anytime, but hopefully well before August 1.
