The annual meeting in Orlando meeting is only be a few weeks away! This year, the Questioned Documents Section has a very packed program. Three workshops were approved:

Monday, February 16:
Workshop #3  Classification of Typewritten Documents
8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Faculty: Karen Nobles & Peter Tytell

Workshop #13  The Examination of Skillfully Simulated Signatures
1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
Faculty: Linton Mohammed & Brenda Lanners

Tuesday, February 17
Workshop #19  Automating Image Production for Forensic Document Examiners
8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Faculty: Mark Goff & Todd Welch

The section’s business meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 18, from 2:00 p.m.-3:45 p.m. Oral presentations begin on Thursday morning. This year the QD program extends through 5:00 p.m. on Friday as QD, Criminalistics, and the General Sections are having a multi-disciplinary session. Please make your travel arrangements to depart later than usual. The customary Plenary Session and after-hours presentations, social events, and networking opportunities will combine to make this year’s meeting well worth attending.

Please encourage all FDEs who are not Academy members to apply for membership and be sure to pick up your ABFDE points from attending the workshops and presentations.
