Remembering Nessa Rosenbaum

The California Association of Criminalists has announced the passing of Nessa Rosenbaum. On August 18, 2019, after a brief battle with cancer, Nessa passed away with family by her side. Nessa was 63 years of age and is survived by her sister Laura and brother Earl.

Nessa began her career with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department in October 1997 as a Forensic Laboratory Technician. She was promoted to Criminalist II in 2009 and to Criminalist III in 2011. Nessa served as the Scientific Investigations Division’s Quality Assurance Officer for nearly eight years. Nessa was a member of the California Association of Criminalists (CAC) since 1998.  She contributed an enormous amount to the CAC, especially as a member of the Endowment Committee (member since 2012).  Nessa was also a member of the Criminalistics Section of AAFS since 2009.
