Hello All,

This is a reminder that the nomination deadline for the T. Dale Stewart Award is January 1, 2019.

The T. Dale Stewart Award is an award presented to a member of the section for outstanding contributions to the field of forensic physical anthropology. The award may be presented each year, but that is not required. Nominations are made by mail to the section officers prior to an announced date. The nominations will be forwarded to the T. Dale Stewart Award Committee (appointed by the section chair and composed of three former recipients of the award). This committee may select one of the nominated members to receive the award. Awards may be made posthumously.

Although the Policy and Procedure Manual (PPM) states nominations are “made by mail,” we should interpret that to mean electronic mail as well. Section Officers are Jennifer Love, Section Chair, (jennifer.love@dc.gov) and Paul Emanovsky, Section Secretary (paul.d.emanovsky.civ@mail.mil) .

I hope to see everyone in Baltimore in February!
