The Organization of Scientific Area Committees (OSAC) Toxicology Subcommittee and the AAFS Standards Board (ASB) Toxicology Consensus Body encourage all interested parties to provide comments on three toxicology standards which are available for public comment. These documents are listed along with links to each document. Please note that the public comment period end on October 21, 2019, for each document.

  • ASB Standard 119 Standard for the Analytical Scope and Sensitivity of Forensic Toxicology Testing for Medicolegal Death Investigations, First Edition (Comment Deadline, October 21, 2019)
  • ASB Standard 120 Standard for the Analytical Scope and Sensitivity of Forensic Toxicology Testing in Impaired Driving Investigations, First Edition (Comment Deadline, October 21, 2019)
  • ASB Standard 121 Standard for the Analytical Scope and Sensitivity of Forensic Toxicology Urine Testing in Drug-Facilitated Crime Investigations, First Edition (Comment Deadline, October 21, 2019)

Following the link to the OSAC Toxicology Subcommittee will also provide a list of documents that are in the draft and registry approval process. Several documents, such as the Standard for Identification Criteria in Forensic Toxicology and the Standard for Mass Spectral Data Acceptance in Forensic Toxicology are also available for pre-publication viewing.
